the problem is like this... its a 6speed evo8 all the gears are engaging except the 4th gear........ what could be the possible problem.... when u put it in 4th it seems as if it isnt shifting into anything.... can sum1 plz shed sum light on this problem and the possibilities.....

 

The 4th gear is notoriously weak in the 6 speed. You probably lost the gear.

 

oh i forgot to tell tore apart the gear just to find sum kinda lock that locks the fork when u shift from 3-4th its a long tiny lock that went bad....replaced that assembled the gear tried all gear with the shifter and it was workin fine... installed the gear n #$@#$@## its not goin in 4th gear.... do u still think the 4th gear has gone .....
