Hi all! Thanks for the input. I'd be going to Sean Ivey or TurboTrix here in NJ for the tuning, I suppose. And to answer your question regarding the F1 turbo in the Full-Race kit... I will be opting for the Garrett 35R, not the F1. They have a twin-scroll version of it at Full-Race, so the HTA upgrade is def doable according to Jarrod at Buschur So yeah, 500whp+ is nice and I hope to post results when she's all done

So Full-Race has decided to not use the Turbonetics turbo they originally promoted in their 35R kit?

No results yet for twin-scroll 35R!

Bring it on!

If it works I guess we'll see AMS and Buschur start making them?

Turbonetics F1 TS 35 is a T4. The FP HTA converstion will only work with the T3 Garrett TS 35R.

Look at it this way. Ive been in a 42R evo and i drove it for the day as soon as i hit 20psi i was already about to hit the car that was 25 cars infront of me and he was tuned for 40psi. Its pointless.
what was all that about??? sorry mate but did you read my post???

i said he should beable to make over 600bhp with a good tuner. that was the answer to the question not some UK/GT42/2.3/wheel power/ what ever bashing!

and you didn't even answer his question!

the only point i was making is its all down to the mapper! get that bit right and making power is easy.

Chris.

Which to me brings up: Where is the GT3076 HTA?
For those of us who want killer spool, wide power band, and "only" 380awhp peak on pump from 2 liters.
HTA is only available on the GT35, right?
Wrong.
HKS pictures show an HTA compressor on their GT3037S. And guess what, their housing says GARRETT on it. FP housing doesn't say. HKS even shows a version of the GT28 with an HTA compressor.
Anybody know what's going on behind all this?
Anybody know why FP can't get HTA GT3076 but HK$ can?

Gary

HKS's GT3037 series turbos use Garrett cartridges and compressor housings . If you check those turbo ID tags you'll find 3037 cartridges are 700177 series and the dash numbers ie 700177-5007 tell you the compressor trim size . -7 is 56T , -6 is 52T and unconfirmed but logical to assume -5 is 48T .
The "37" part of 3037 tells you that they use a GT37 series compressor meaning 76.2mm OD BCI-18 series wheels .

Where some confusion exist is when Garrett have used T04S compressors on the front of a GT30 turbine equipt cartridge . The old "S" wheels are 7/14 bladed and not the most modern design - from memory 1976 era things .

I think Garrett are more likely to fit a newer C117 series compressor if anything rather that a foreign branded wheel .
BTW I believe Garrett Japan make most of the GT BB range and HKS had them do a few model specific versions (slightly different wheel/trim options) for them .

Let us know the cartridge numbers of any you can't identify as I can reference most of them inc the HKS ones .

Cheers and happy new year , Adrian .
PS Finally seeing the light and considering an Evo 6 .

I thought that I had read that somewhere along the way. It will be interesting to (eventually) see if/what the difference is between the two turbos (twin scroll T3 HTA vs. twin scroll T4 F1).

As Full Race is currently selling both (based on the info posted here), I would love to see them do some testing to determine the plus/minus of each setup. Maybe offer tseitz123 a discount on part of his kit so that they can use his test/tune info in their advertising???

Very cool situation that will (in time) benefit all of those Evo owners who are considering this type of turbo setup.

I don't know enough about turbos to give a firm answer, but the inlet to the turbine housing is significantly larger on the T4 (and although both turbine exits are 3") so the question is how much more will the T4 flow?

And how difference in housing size and flow will effect spool up/resposiveness of the turbo.

Very interesting indeed.
