Arrow AMS2.3RR vs BR2.3L vs BR2.0L

i am looking for the most reliable engine to run on my HTA35R..i am not interested in tracking or autocrossing...drag and street driving is the purpose..
no meth...only straight 93OCT pump and race gas from time to time.
i am afraid of investing $8000 into the AMS2.3RR and then boom..it hasnt been tested enough yet..i have yet to see an end user review on this engine..

other mods on the car will be:

BR race intercooler
BR stage 3 Head
BR HTA35R
BR 3"Down Pipe
BR intank twin pump
BR 1000cc injectors
Agency power fuel rail
Autronic SM4 ECU
Custom 4" Cat back
AMS VSR intake manifold
upper and lower I/C pipes

and the whole nine yards...............

seeking advise..

p.s. the BR2.3 and BR2.0 are going to cost me $2000 more the listed because i am not going to do the core exchange...it costs just as much to ship my block to ohio..hahahah

Jackson. No need for the 2.3rr for the street, and for drag you may want to stay 2.0.

I agree, the Buschur 2.0 is the way to go for your goals.

Then why are you afraid of investing $8000? Just get the 2.3RR if money is not an issue.

Yes a 2.0 will be better. I had so many disscusions with my tuner about this cause i want a stroker but he keeps talking me out of it. But the catch is he gives me the info on why i shouldnt do it. Ok lets break it down like this. The stroker can rev to 8k but i wouldnt do it. next Ok the spool is alittle faster then a 2.0 but only 500 in 1st 300 in 2nd and 3rd and [B]200[B] in 4th. ok so on the stroker your limited to 8k RPM limit max but with a built 2.0 you have another 1500-2000 RPMS. Since i have a GT35r i can tell you that at 3000 rpms the power starts to come and by 4000 its making good power and at 5000 its a rocket! so over these RPM ramps you can really notice the power. But to each his own. Its your car and only you will be happy with what you choose. Hope the little bit of info helped. Oh and the spool numbers i got from my log

Well as stated by the guy with the 2.3 GT37r stated the off boost driving it better but you said you have sponsors(throw some my way) so doesnt sound like you will be driving in off boost. Here is alittle more input what do you plan on racing? Drag or a road corse? Cause it has alot to deal whit what set up you want. Drad go 2.0. Road corse a 2.3 would be ideal with a 4.11 final drive. Here in germany is a 2.3 20G-5 with over 600NM dont know what that translates to american TQ but it has a 4.11 final drive and it will pull on a built 2.0 GT35r like nothing downlow and in midrange but up top the 2.0 will come around it. so it all depends on what you want to do. Turbo choice is also key. My tuner has an HTA 35r but looking at the graphs it seems my TQ curve is way more agressive but he has a really nice and steady TQ curveand his doesnt drop off like mine does with stock cams. Hope this was helpful.

That is why the AMS 2.3RR is so good, it revs up to 9k which is good for both the street and drag. and it still gives you the benefits of the stroker. That is really why they produced that engine.

AMS is proven so is Buschur.....

I know there are a few people who have them on order, I was just talking with Martin last week about that engine. I have a standard 2.3 liter from AMS with a 50 trim boosting 28-30lbs all day long and never had any issues...

I know I will be going with a 2.3RR when I buy my next evo this time with a 37R!!

This should help you to decide, just do the BR 2 liter as stated in this thread

It seems that you have all the rest from Buschur so why start to change now?

I'll probably go 2.0 on my next build because of RPM range.
