Avid Motor Mounts

Are the avid rear motor and tranny mounts still garbage or have they fixed the problems with these? I've got a set sitting here and I'm going to return them if they haven't fixed it.

Not too sure but I think that they took the mounts for the evo off their website. That idicates to me that these are the same type that broke on the GSC evo.

Now I know why I thought the front mount sucked on my car. It's because they sucked.

In my opinion the Avid front mount (the one I own) is mediocre. Instead of a hole to put the bolt in, Avid has (for the size of the bolt used) a fairly wide cut slot. There is not much surface area for the head of the bolt to seat on, so you'll need a washer (that isn't on the OEM piece). If you just put the mount on there without a washer (like I did), you'll find, over time, the bolt becomes misaligned and doesn't seat properly. This could cause major problems, especially if racing your car (i.e. the bolt breaks).
