tune needed?

If I add 272 hks cams without cam gears, will I need a tune right away? The car is already dyno tuned with a boost pill, tbe, and a K&N Drop in filter.

thanks

If you are reffering to right away being in the next few days then no, cams can't hurt you so you can run them untuned but to get the power from the cams you need to be tuned.

Thanks

I was thinking I was going to tune it in a week or so after I get the cams installed. I was thinking it wasn't safe to drive home.

Without the fuel pump and injectors ok also?

Anyone Else, think so?

You'll find out about the fuel when you start tuning. Good chance you'll max out your stock injectors, but a tune will tell.

A pump is just a saftety factor that you need. Its only a $100 mod that will save your engine. Im still on stock injectors and they are fine and I have alot more mods so you should be fine with your injectors.

why would he max out his injectors with the addition of cams?

a walbro fuel pump would be a cheap and smart addition for sure

if you plan on driving the car with no tune just stay out of boost and don't beat on it...you can get by for a week without a retune as long as you aren't trying to push the car

This is a true statement.

I am running the GSC S2's on stock injectors.

How are you going to know, unless you tune and see if you max out your injectors. I guess it depends on how safe you want your tune.
