bad spark plugs??

I am getting some fuel cut at high loads in the 5k+rpm range. It is also very cold (negative windchill) so maybe its the tune?

I just lost 10 IQ points from reading your post. Anyways, you could also get fuel cut from overboosting due to boost rising the cooler it gets. How much are boost are you reading from the gauge?

LOL

Are you sure you're not mistaking fuel cut with sputtering? You can't just have "some" fuel cut. Check plugs first.

10 bucks says its boost cut! Seriously. Are you tuned? If not than its boost cut due to denser air from the temp. Just get a MBC and turn it down or get tuned.

It was late :P. Anyways I meant sputtering or felt like it was misfiring not fuel cut.

Mods 2.3 61mm aem ems.

I think it was most likely overboosting, I was trying to keep my eyes on the road and not on my boost gauge but I'll double check today.

It doesn't happen at low loads but if I floor it above 5k i getting sputtering.

OK no overboosting just stumbling at anything above 5.5k rpm with full throttle. So I am really leaning towards spark plugs now.

I would check the plugs as it is easy. Boost cut feels like hitting a wall, well maybe not so drastic but it scared me the first time i had it happen. i would think sputtering is ignition related, could be fuel delivery too but the plugs are an easy check.

High load fuel cut (boost-whatever cut) will feel like the engine just engulfed a bucket of jello, it will surprise you kinda like blowing off ducts will. Maybe it's just missing a little with the colder charge
