I'm convinced there are very bad batches of Exedy twins out there in cars.
My exedy has 40,000 miles on it. THis just started happening 3 weeks ago.

i was having some wierd problems...

the fact you say it works fine for a fine leads me to think it just needs more bleeding... or one of the connections to the clutch line is leaking so youre getitng air int he line...

when you go back and bleed are you seeing any air in the line after the fact?

Check the bolt that connects the clutch line to the slave, i bet tht crush washer needs replacing and is leaking.. That would cause it to work fine, then not..

If it was your tob, upshifts would be just as bad as downshifts and youd hear all kinds of funny sounds.

Good luck Jeff

Good point on the TOB it would be making some god awful sounds...

Yes there is air in the system... a little. It's definitely a force or pressure issue. I have it a mitsu dealer ship and they are looking at it. Hopefully find exactly where it's letting air in.

The Slave comes with a new bolt, washers and bleeder.

Forget the speed bleeders they leak around the threads. The brake, clutch combination reservoir can be deceptive it will look like it's full but it can be low in the back chamber that feeds the clutch you need to over fill it and keep it there during clutch bleeding. The old fashion way is your best choice make sure you never release the clutch when the bleeder is open. If there was a leak in the line that was letting in air you would see fluid leaking out.

i made sure of keeping it at the neck while bleeding the system.

I'm definitely interested in hearing your result - I'm having some dragging issues with my HD as well. On occasion it feels like there are 2 different engagement points. The first is right off the floor and the car will start rolling forward but if you apply more gas it will not really accelerate until you hit the second engagement point (which is where it normally engages). The weird thing is this is not a consistent problem - maybe once every 10 or so starts. I've bled and Motive bled the system along with adjusted the clutch pedal. I'm going to try bleeding it a bit more. Keep us posted.

thats your problem man... Everytime u unbolt a crush washer a new one needs to be put in there.. EVERY TIME.. i had the same issue when i put my ss line in too.. i didnt know better at the time either, im not a mechanic, i just do the basic stuff. all the local places sell them... I got some from pepboys they were a couple bucks for a pack of 6 i think.

Lemme know if you need some help, well bleed it for a good 20 minto make sure theres 0 chance of any air getting in there..

I also recommend raising the clutch to the highest setting that way ur pump the most amount of fluid as possible.

Cheers!

Yea he did all the basic bs...

I thought u said there's one crush washer u never swapped? Check there.. Wipe down every connection where it. Could leak the pump the clutch 30-50 times. Then wipe it down again. U should find some fluid somewhere. There's nothing else that could be ****ed up. You did everything except double check for leaks.
