Nitrous for spool???

What can i use to help me spool my turbo faster?? i hear that you can shoot 30 shot right before or after the intercooler and it will help put with the spool. Does anybody here use this or something else to help spool and by how much does it help??
Thanks

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!!..............it would be stupid to run it before the intercooler.......but it will get you going on the prespool on a dragstrip i know. but thats just hooking up a fogger simply.

get a water/meth kit and call it a day

get a smaller turbo lol, or reduce the hotside. My stocker 03 turbo got full spool 22psi at 2800rpm with that setup I had 340whp.

nitrous should be within 10" of the throttle body

The application is for much larger turbo's on probably V8's. There are ways to get the stock turbo set up to spool up faster than you really wish. If the WG and DV are holding solid, and if your not octane limited, it should be able to build to 30 psi in less than one second - mine does.

At about 6300 rpm when the stock VIII turbo is doing nothing, that is where you want to spray the Zex kit.

alky/meth is much less expensive to fill on a monthly basis........with this you can run it constantly and still be cheaper than running the nitrous some of the time.

trust me it will increase your bottom end power......and thats what you want........

with more power the engine is creating then that means more exhaust air which in return more spool.........LOL

meth is great for tq, low end power.........

I am not sure on gasoline engines, but on my diesel truck we used alky injection to improve spoolup when we used a large single turbo as opposed to a twin turbo setup.

We would use two small jets instead of one larger jet: One jet would start spraying at about 9 PSI and the second jet would kick in above 24 PSI. At least on my truck the alky would noticeably improve spool.

I agree with krazirob, alky/meth will give you a significant better low end and is very cheap to fill up and like he said, you will run can run it all the time instead of just spraying nitrous sometime.

A small shot of n20 used with a window switch or tgiggered by the AEM if you have one would achieve what you are looking for. You are better off putting it closer to the throttle body, but if your goal is to hide it, you can put it in the outlet of the IC or low in the UICP. If you have an aem, you can get away with a dry shot to save some money. You would use the AEM to add the extra fuel you need during the "window" that you decide to spray it at. If you have to go with a wet system, you really should mount if close to the throttle body. Hope this helps.
