Boost Problem?

I just installed my AEM Tru Boost, INjen UIC pipe and Injen intake system today and went for a test drive. when my boost level got to approximatly 15 psi it droped off approximatly 3-4 psi and then went back up to 15 and kept doing this. It thought it was the vacum lines where expanding and letting pressure out of the ends but i put better clamps on them and it still occured. if anyone could throw sum suggestions my way it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am not familiar with the AEM TrueBoost. Is that a gauge and EBC combined? How did you hook it up? Are you switching over from the stock BCS setup? Supposing that your controller is properly routed, then you might try raising the WG preload by shortening the actuator rod two turns. Then again, your boost controller may be improperly installed.

did you reuse the stock boost lines? if so you failed

are you sure you hooked it up correctly? (right hoses to right places)

did you play with the settings on the boost controller?

you gave us limited information and you want specific answers

what does this look like a holiday inn?

LOL I have it hooked up correctly and yes I've played with the settings I turned the boost to20 psi. but what r u talking about the stock boost lines what does that matter. I also have a xheck engine code its sumthing to do with the EGR valve I believe, could that be causeing my problem? cause I have no clue what the EGR valve is? Sorry about posting on a monday LOL now I know better. hehe

You say that you have the boost controller properly hooked up, but did you use the stock boost/vacuum hoses, or did you remove the factory hoses and the boost control solenoid and connect your controller up with new hose?

You can't reuse the factory lines because they contain a couple of internal resrictor orifices.

rele... cause that be causing the fluxiation in boost after I hit 15 psi tho? cause factory boost is more than 15. I'll try replacing all my vacum hoses thanks for the sugestion I'll try that tomorrow and post back. I just fixed the EGR valve it blew a hose off and its still doing it so it cant b the egr valve. any other sugestions would b nice.

one more thought tho I read the egr vacum hoses blowing off could foul plugs, could a fouled plug be causing this?

Yeah, try it! Use 3/16"(4mm) hose and zip ties on each connection. Remove the factory vacuum hose assembly and store it as a unit, for if you ever need to go back to the stock configuration. The BCS has to be out of the equation as well, that is, disconnect it's hoses but leave the electrical connector plugged into it.
