What springs & retainers are you using with these camshafts?

I had the GSC 280s (similar to the S3's) on stock valvetrain reving to 8000rpms. S2s I would think you could use on stock valvetrain as well as long as you're keeping a similar to stock rev limit. If not you can always upgrade to a dual spring retainer kit (supertech, cosworth, etc) and make sure you don't have valve float and the ability to rev higher.

the old 280s with there 10.67mm of lift is more like the S1 than the S3's 11.5mm of lift i wouldnt suggest running the s2's on stock springs.

As for what to run we offer valve springs and retainers in either a dual or single setup, supertech is also good, or even Kigley racings single behive springs if your going for 9k plus. stay away from ferrea, crower, and brian crower... the crower singles are actually less favorable than the stock to us.

Correct, I was about to answer that incorrect info regarding GSC 280s. They do not require springs and retainers. The S3 are for the ifarted2 and AMS leagues of 900-1000+whp 10000rpms extreme performance engines. Two totally DIFFERENT cam profiles.

Interesting, I called GSC directly and inquired about the lift on my cams, and was quoted an 11.5mm lift.
