NGK Spark plugs gapping?

I bought a set of NGK iridium spark plugs and when I was talking to the guy at Advanced Auto and he was telling me that I didn't need to gap them. After talking to a couple of people, they told me that I should have gapped the NGKs. I was just wondering if anyone knows if I should have or shouldn't have gapped them. If so, I'm going to pull those bad boys out and do it right.

should be at a .24 gap. You have a gapping tool? The guy might be right...most of the plugs come ready to go out the box. You should always test and also gap according to your mods.

all depends on your setup. they have the factory gap set when you buy them i believe.

Do you gap further for more aggressive setup, or closer? I'm new to this. My example is pretty mild, it's just a vishnu tune, tbe, gears adjusted (maps for 93oct and 110)

the higher the boost u run, the smaller the gap should be. for ex.

i run 29psi so i have NGK BR8ES gapped to .022"

usually a .028-.026" is fine for 20-23psi aplications.

remember u want the biggest gap possible u can get away with. so u many want to start high, take it out and do a WOT run, and if it misfires, go down my .001". do this until its not misfireing.

I ran mine gapped and ungapped. I say run them ungapped and if you start to misfire here and there then take them out and gap them down a little lower. I think they are like 0.028" out of the box so if you start to pop then try 0.026" and so on. That's what I did and it worked well.

This is correct --- I had to gap mine down to .022 running high boost on the green.

I am running a COP with the M&W box. I have mine set at .24-.25.

Both seem to work just fine.
