2qtrs of Oil but Oil level on dipstick is sky high!?

I've been having a high reading on my oil dipstick. So, I decided to change the oil but only put 2 qtrs in the motor to see if I would get the same reading. Well after the oil change and starting the car, same thing, the oil level reading on the dipstick is really high.

I noticed a slight green hue but it might just my eyes and the fresh oil but I think it's coolant. I haven't seen any color smoking from the car.

Anyone know whats going?
thanks

Did you notice how much oil came out of your motor when you drained it? Make sure you wait awhile before you check the oil after refilling.

Before I did the oil change, I ran the car for a while when I noticed the oil level pretty high so I decided to let a quart out, still the oil level didn't change (still high). I didn't really pay attention to how much oil came out but prolly 3 qtrs total
(1 qtr i let out earlier then prolly 2 qrts when I did the oil change). I acutally went for a carwash then checked the oil level, same thing, the oil level is really high on the dipstick with only 2 qrts of oil in the car.

you check your coolant level? If you think it's coolant than the level should drop.

If you jack up your car from the pass side you may not get all the oil out. I always jack it up in the middle.

I jacked it in the middle with a 2 ton jack. I will check my coolant levels.

Don't take this the wrong way but,It sounds like your reading the dipstick with the motor running?...
