Any why is that? More displacement would mean it'd spool the turbo a LOT easier. And if they have some how figured out a way to rev this motor to 9k then it'd be PERFECT for a 40r!

It would be SO MUCH nicer if the BC Team gave out more info and proof that their kit can do what they claim it can...

Having someone say that...yeah it can do 9500+ its not enough... I bet if someone tries it and the car blows up probably they will say it wasn't built correctly etc etc etc...

I am not trying to be negative but history and many many builders who stand up 120% by their products haven't achieved such a big displacement engine that revs so high... I am extremely curious to see how BC did it...

If it works even at 8500rpm it will be insane and maybe it will change the whole stroker engine concept!

I bet this would be sweet to combo with an FP Red...if/when they make one... Green would be fun for now.

If you could spin it to 8500, that would surprise everyone. Well at least me. It would be worth getting for sure.

106mm stroke @ ~ 7000Rpm = 25m/s Mean Piston Speed.

F1 Engines redline @ 27m/s Mean Piston Speed and only needed to last 2 races, less then 500K's in total.........

I would be setting the Redline at 7000Rpm if you don't want to be rebuilding or replacing the block every 5000k's.

You obviously haven't seen a single 40 series turbo in the 3.2 litre vr4s. It's still going to have huge amounts of lag on a 2.6 as well as not be able to rev high enough to fully utilize a turbine of that size.

Forget to add. Why go with a cometic head gasket? They've been proven over and over again to be ineffecient at providing enough pressure to create a good cylinder seal.

They are the only ones that can make custom gaskets in short time and without overpricing them.

What type of fuel system will you use, and how will you handle the large amount of return fuel on idle and low load?
