TS or TIAL housing?

I am looking to order an HTA3076. Should I do a twin scroll manifold or a manifold for a tial backhousing?

bump........I know all the big dawgs are switching to tial housings. Besides less turbulence, what benefits will a tial housing give you? The given of course are no gaskets.

its not a problem on your turbo but the Tail housing is also smaller. as its stainless it retains the heat better to.

Rev I am getting ready to do the same thing. I wish there were some results on the HTA3076r. I am going the Twin scroll route, since there is no other way to make a 3076(hta or not) spool that early. I am looking for 450ish+ whp on 26-28psi with E-85.. From what I understand the HTA3076 flows 57lbs vs. the standard 52lbs.. That puts it right between the 30r and 35r(62ish lbs). So if it spooled even a couple hundred rpms faster than the standard 30r(42-4400ish from what I've seen from my friends AMS 3076r kit) then it would be a great turbo since it should make more power. Most TS 30r's I've seen get full boost around 3800 rpms..

If the hta3076r doesn't look too solid then I am going with a twin scroll 50trim, since it spools much earlier than the 30r already, and from what I've seen, seems to make pretty much the same or better power/tq. I am hoping to get the ball rolling in a week or two. I am still working on what TS manifold/setup I am going to run.. It just depends on if DTM, AZ-FI, or ETS can impress me with their TS kits coming out, otherwise I will build my own kit using a full-race mani/dp...

I have a HTA3076 on it's way to me now. I am going to test it within two weeks if I get it.

Pretty much once I see the results of the HTA3076 I am gonna start piecing everything together. Just found the manifold I am going to be using.

depends on what manifold you use. If you dont have the mani yet, TS is the way to go

you should really consider the twinscroll borg warner version of the GT3076R that is coming out soon...

will be interesting to see his results, since the 30R turbine is already working VERY hard to power the 76 compressor... a larger compressor is not necessarily a good thing. i think you might see different results than their hts35r

Unless of course one subscribes to the HKS way of thinking.
