!HELP! gear jumping out of 4th gear

$850 sounds like a damn good deal to me. Youy 4th gear syncro is definately gone. You have no other option but to get the tranny rebuilt or replaced.

could be the sleeve on that gearset... I know that when I bought my car it was popping out of 1st gear the first day... replaced the syncros, gears and it turned out to be the sleeve which allowed it to pop out on its own
