Well after 28xxxk miles, my 4th gear grinds occasionally if i shift real fast past 6500 rpms.. Its not a bad grind but noticeable. This is the first time out of my 3 evos that ive ever had any tranny problems.. My clutch is also slipping badly at 15psi of boost.. Ive been meaning to make an appointment for a new clutch with TTP but work and moving took up all my time.. Do you guys think that the worn out clutch is causing the slight grind? Car has been to the track a total of 3-4 times
I have the same issue. People telll me it's my syncros. Mine grinds going into 4th and 5th at WOT. My car has 38 k on it. I rarely ever do it. I'm going to try to get that BLOX (I think thats what it's called) transmission mount from speedelement and see if that helps any. Maybe you should give that a shot too.
Man just send it to shep and call it a day. You wont be able to go to the dealer with your mods been there done that.
PS: my car will be done by the end of may. Ill be rocking a GT40 for the summer and winter then ill put the 42 on.

The more you drag out that clutch replacement, the more damage you are doing to your transmission. The flywheel is likely warped and the high spots are likely hanging up on the disc.

Miguel... IMO... i wouldnt put that crap Penzoil Syncromesh in the tranny. it has the consistency of water, offers no protection what so ever. yes i did use it for a while with no problems but when i saw Ryan drain out the tranny, it looked like water. i said never again.
Shep recommends Mt90, he builds these things daily, he should know more then anyone.
i will say this though, Mt90 when cold feels a little notchy but after it warms up the tranny shifts like BUTTA!
