I've used these fuel cleaners on my old car before and I really did notice a difference in gas mileage. Does anyone regularly use these on the Evo?

 

I use redline fuel injector cleaner in all my cars...

ran a bottle through the Evo a week or two ago.

Fuel injectors definately clog and definately can get dirty, and injector cleaner really does work.

 

About how many miles should I start using it on my Evo? It's got 1800 right now.

 

it's not really neccesary if you use a gas that has cleansers in it...

 

I've heard of that before, from a mechanic. Which gas has cleansers in it? The only gas I use is Exxon, 93 octane (same station everytime).

 

i beleive Exxon has cleansers... I use Mobil 93 and that has a cleanser in it as well...

maybe it's the same gas, considering they are really the same company...

I swear by BG44k as a fuel injector cleaner. Run it every 3000 miles after oil change. Even when running a good fuel with cleaning agents and using a FI cleaner every so many miles, I would still recommend a BG rail flush once a year, and a minimum of once every two years.
