A few things.

First off thanks to Peter for donating his time and car for the development work on this product. Also want to thank Al and George from ICS for taking the time to help Peter out on this and doing a great job on the installation.

The biggest thanks goes to Jim (Indy EVO) for contacting me about the idea and actually going ahead with the build and engineering behind it to make it work.

This is not a new product in the drag racing world. It is actually very common on drag bikes. We attempted to do this in the years past but I guess we weren't smart enough to figure out how to make it only function in 1st gear. So again, a big thanks to Jim for figuring it all out.

This is really going to revolutionize the Import drag market as it can be installed on any car. Right now we are all relying on our brain, leg and coordination to launch the cars. I can tell you right now, nobody drag racing an EVO is nearly as good as he thinks he is. This will make consistent and controlled launches a normal occurance. It is also going to greatly decrease broken driveline parts.

I have one here and have just been waiting for the snow to melt and the time to isntall it. The unit I have here has the adjustment knob mounted with the unit, so it is adjusted under the hood of the car. Also, the Tilton clutches use -3 AN lines already so tapping it into the system will be super clean and easy in our case.

Here's a picture of the product off the car:

I spoke with Jim this morning and he is working on pricing. As soon as we get a price put together I will post the information.

This product is going to be available ONLY through three dealers. ISC/AL, myself and Doug's Dynopower in Vegas.

The initial purpose was to get a clean launch in any track condition but it evolved to a tuning aid. And yes it will be legal in its manualy controled state, with the AEM all bets are off. 9sec 240, and gsnt, this is not an AMS vs. Buschur and ICS/Big Al thing, like I said I built it for U2SOL for his own personal use. This thread should not be turned into a war of vendors. Those guys were there to speed up development and I think it can benefit everyone here as this was Pete's intension. Also before anyone has the idea of a knock off we have multiple version with many options.
Thanks for your inspiration and expert craftsmanship

I am honored to be part of the marketing team

The adjustment is needed to configure the unit to the individual car and to set the launch how the end user wants it. Also, some slight fine tuning may be needed for variations in track conditions. e.g. you can make it grab faster or slip more depending on the grip at a particular track.

I envision making a change or two after the first passes at each track.

I would also like to see a smaller black knob

I perfer the unit which had the knob on the device itself and you simply adjust it under the hood - easier to install and less expensive.

Can someone explain a little more about how this engages and disengages. Correct me if im wrong but you have to hold a button while launching then after the launch you have to let it go?

Will there be a way to use a accessport to adjust and control it?

Well if it is like the ones used on "drag bikes" then yes. It is like leaving with a transbrake button as you press pedal down(on bikes pull lever in),press button and let go of clutch pedal(bikes it is the clutch lever) and when the light drops you let go of the button and you take off and the rest of your shifting is done in the normal convential method.
But I may be way off on the operation of this,I am just responding to Davids comments of it being the same as has been used on "drag bikes" for years as I have had one on mine for "years"

There will be two different versions

As I have said this version just effects the way the clutch engages - it controls the rate of engagement - called "launching aide"

A second version will also hold the pedal, release it with a button and also control the rate of engagement - called "clucth line lock and launching aide"

I hope this makes sense
