With the .63 a/r hotside do you think it will spool up 2-300 rpms faster? Maybe 450whp on 22psi?

Great job again David.

That looks like a real winner and would seem to be a nice option to some stock block turbo upgrade builds

This is on an VIII, I would suspect even with the big housing a IX will make up 4-500rpm. Add in E85 which seems to like to build boost quick, and it might be even better yet.

Regardless this turbo builds power fast from the graph and I bet the real world driveability would make it hard to notice. Imagine this coupled to a twin scroll and the possibilties just ramp up.

I posted the boost logs and information, I am not breaking it down further than it is.

The .63 housing would probably spool another 200-300 rpm sooner and still make 450 with no problem at the lower boost settings.

I only kept the .82 housing on this turbo because that's what's on my HTA35r and I wanted to test them in the same housing.

About laying more dyno plots over this one. I would be willing to do it but to be honest it is not a good comparison. Comparing the 3065 turbo to this is not a good comparison, the reason being all the 3065's I have are on cast manifolds, smaller cams and the FP turbine housing. So it is pointless and will only be deceiving. The green is about the same thing, I'd have to take the best green I ever did and compare it to this.

I just don't see the sense in it to be honest, comparing who knows what combination to my car is kind of pointless.

David,

Which manufacturer's turbine housing are you using with this HTA3076? 4 Bolt or 5 Bolt?

also

How much less power would you imagine your car would make on low boost with pump

Thanks

I dont think the 3065 is a thing of the past...

Think about it. It made 50x on Jarrods car. Which had a different setup than Daves. It will be interesting to see how mcuh power the hta3065 makes when they come out with it here soon....

That will be the ultimate setup between the stock turbo and a 35r imo..

Thanks for the test dave, as usual!

I hope FP gets Dave the 3065HTA soon to make a comparison against this!

FP is not making a FP3065, thats what FP have told me directly.

From what Davehas posted, I dare say the 3065 would still make more power than the HTA3076 on Dave's engine. Remember, Jarrods engine had no portwork, etc.

So my question is since this turbo flows more than a 50trim how is the spool compared to one. Probably with the .63 though. Trying to find the best pump gas turbo without loosing much spool (1000rpm or so over stock IX turbo)

ok fair enough, i agree comparing them would be pointelss, i assumed you might have a dyno sheet of a 3065 setup with a tubular mani and big cams.

edit: So do you think the 3065 still has a place?

What would be nice to see is plot of the normal 3076R over the HTA3076R to see the difference in power and spool.

I know its unlikely but worth a shot.......
I would love to see how this new wheel performs against the garrett item.
