Dont mean to steal thread at all but...
Considering either FP Green or 50 trim...
Mods are: hks 272's, MBC, TBE, BOV, Intake, ported mani, 10.5 hotside, U/L IC Piping.

My question is which turbo would you reccomend in my situation, and what kind of upgrading would I be doing if purchasing a 50 trim?

Thanks in advance.

Exactly, 60 whp.

Your big turbo should go from what 450 to 650 full tilt?

If your spending that much money on a turbo, why go for something that is substantially laggier and not that much better up top. The main reason i went 30-35R was was because I drop maybe 15 ft lbs of tq at redline on the current setup vs like 200 on the 30r or 100 as you did on the 50 trim.

That was one thing i liked about the 50T. Power/Torque never drops off up top where a stocker would.

My BB50 Trim numbers are not as impressive a yours because i only have 91 Oct tune..no meth, But i will still hit peak torque @ around 4000 RPM and stays flat till redline. Once i get back from my trip i will try some race gas #'s

ExVi... - What mods did you have with the different graphs shown in the dyno graphs and what kind of fuel and boost were you running? Thanks -- graphs look nice!

Normal bolt ons + AEM EMS.

Here is a graph of my 50 trim numbers at sea level on a Mustang Dyno (this one reads low on every car). These weren't my final numbers for the day but you can see how the hp/tq curve is awesome.

This was done on pump gas and my final numbers were 393/305 at 23psi. I ran the car in Boulder and posted 439/355 on 114 oct and 28psi tapered to 24 by 8000 RPM. Had some bad phantom knock down low caused by bad lifters which caused the ECU to pull tons of timing hurting my overall numbers. I haven't been back to the dyno since fixing the problem so I'm not sure what it puts down these days.

BTW, notice the bump around 5500 RPM? I got that after installing the AMS ported head. Could definitely feel it on the butt dyno too!

Thanks for the input ludi...just curious as to why you said FP Green?

I think this is the best turbo for me and my mods right now...esp with the possibility of the HTA green that may hit the market in the near future...im sitting on my 9 turbo and sending it in when the times right.

At your level of modification, the FP Green represents the biggest bang-for-the-buck turbo upgrade that you can get. IMO, unless you're willing to step up to something like an HTA35R, it is really difficult to justify the extra expense that a 50 trim setup would cost you. Had the FP Green been available when I first made the decision to upgrade my turbo, I would have definitely gone with it.

Well said my friend, and I believe that a 35r is a future mod for me after I have experienced with and maxed out the FP Green to its full potential!

Thanks & have a good one.

I second what Kraut said, had the green been out when I purchased my kit I probly would have went with that one as well.
