Air directly on the metal is going to be more efficient at cooling than air on metal with layers of paint on it. On a turbo car, I want the coldest air possible to get into the motor.

Aside from that, the Perrin Stealth looks great, I plan on getting one; I think it will look great on an Electric Blue VIII w /Gunmetal wheels.
The key point you want to think about is the convection between the outside air and aluminum intercooler. Some special paints can transfer heat between themselves and air, better than plain aluminum. the extra coating on the intercooler transfer heat through conduction, and is usually an order of magnitude higher than convection.... this makes the coating's effect on heat transfer nearly negligible, yet the benefit from the coating transferring heat to air, can ultimately make a more efficient heat exchanger..
but really we are talking aout an increase in .05%... I don't think you could measure a temp diff between the two...

making this all moot point..

Both Engine Enamel and High Heat Paint formulas now contain ceramic resins for maximum heat dissipation and gloss retention. The resins also offer protection from exposure to excessive heat and automotive fluids. Developed and tested in the lab, Dupli-Color® Engine and High Heat Paints will perform to the most rigorous standards of racing and street rod enthusiasts.

Use engine enamel...flat black it has ceramic in it...but it would prob chip easier then say a wheel paint...may look like **** after a while...

IDK I may try it I always hated the fact that the ic was not blacked out on my car..

I have the perrin stealth on mine. went on really nice and is a beast. Fits perfect and is a really nice piece. I have ets really close to my location as well as perrin. I like the overall look of the perrin better. To me it looks more like a quality made part rather than a sheetmetal made intercooler.

I did see cesar's ets black fmic with the non annodized ets logo and it looked way tight!

I will try to get some pics of mine up. I took install pics, but I don't have and on car installed with bumper on. I'm having cam problems so I haven't been driving it!

A really nice product though
