Post a video of the sound, it is probably the heatshield that is mounted to the car (not the exhaust pipes). It tends to hit against aftermarket flanges as they are larger than stock.

I had the same prob when I installed my downpipe. I forgot to put spacers on the small black bar that runs across the underside. And the downpipe would rattle once and a while. And it was LOUD. Try putting spacers on the small black bar underneath your car. You will know what i am talking about if you look under it.If someone has a pic of the underbody or knows what im talking about, maybe they can explain it better. I would put money on that being the problem.

i have the spacers already, the exhaust system on the car is the one that was on it before I bought it, it fits fine, no clearance issues, it is a buschur system. I am almost certain it is the driveshaft bearings on the center section. They have alot of play in them, and they have been on the car for 78,xxx miles.

How was the dealership able to tell the driveshaft was broken on the inside? Are you confident in their diagnosis? If it's going to be expensive to fix, and if it is the driveshaft, why not go with an aftermarket shop for the repair?

i bought a warrenty from the dealership which i found out is void because the car is modified. the dealership sold it to me in error. the warrenty company will not warrenty a modified car, and i bought it that way. i figured the best bet for getting something worked out was to bring it to where i bought the car and warrenty. i am getting a full refund on my warrenty, and hey offered to pay half or the cost of repair, but i am holding out for them to pay it all.
