BOV replacement
Sorry about the NB question. I just chased down a leak in my TB shaft, thats fixed. Now I hear the hiss coming from my stock plastic VIII BOV. I'm was going to replace it with a JDM MR aluminum BOV; is that good or is there something else I should go with? My 03 is a driver with a K&N drop in and a Dynoflash mail in, else stock. No extra $$$ for turbo back yet.
What should a healthy BOV sound like? I get a hiss under moderate throttle as the turbo spools, and the quick woosh on the clutch. WOT drops out somewhat and the throttle goes numb, hence the leak tests. Spool up is the pits.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Metal DV = good.
The WOT drop and numb throttle - flash. Not going to start the fight - but after dealing with friends car with DF mail in or BR stage flash...some pointes were less aggressive than the OE maps. After we sat down and reflashed the car was totally a new animal. Timing can also change spool up response.

I've seen the "part throttle feels faster than full throttle" symptom before. Typically it means you have some room for improvement on your fuel map, and WOT is likely a bit rich.

Now my next question is what can I do about it. There's definitely room for improvement, the throttle feel disappears the more I push it. The more I give it, the more it doesn't want to go.
Do I walk away from what I have and go with someone else's tune, or can what I have be improved?
