this is obviously a direct attack on paul nelson.
Pretty certain Dave knows others have a portion of the spotlight besides himself guy lol...There is another HUGE company that I don't have to mention that he battles it out with in the time attack world and the drag world setting records. ETS and Pauls "Evo" have set no records (except on a crappy dyno jet) that I know of lol..I don't think Dave is threatened. ok enough of this...Big Dave can take care of himself and I certainly dont want to be labeled as a BR swinger but you haveto be out of your mind to think Dave has a reason to be jealous, feel threatened etc...get real lmao

In fact I'd say in the world of big daddies and the up and comers... they've played their role with more tact and respect then others.

And I think EvoM, or at least the participants in the Engine forum, are pretty clued in and of course give more respect to those deserving. Dave has gotten a ton of respect from all he is accomplished in just the last year. I couldn't really see him and Buschur racing getting more props.

In other words, much ado about nothing here...
Are you kidding lol? I don't even get on here much and know exactly why Dave is pissed. I hate stupid **** like this but it has really caught my attention and gotten under my skin for some reason.

Fire in the hole.
THE THIRD GOAL IS ALL THAT MATTERS!!!
FIRST TO THE FINISH LINE ALWAYS WINS!

Timeslips are purely factual... dyno's can be manipulated... ( and have... a lot in the past.... by putting the aitr temp sensor near a heat source for example...)

I think we could actually have some fun with this. How about creating a 'turbo class by lb/min' and having 'teams' for the Evo/DSM shootout. This could be done without changing anything already set up. Simply state what turbo you have and whose team your on. 1 point for each round you go, or lowest et and highest mph. It could really be fun. You could have true factory stock, stock appearing up to 50 lbs, 50-60lb, 60-70, etc. Maybe even do the same for the dyno day competition. Just an idea to get ALL of us involved and part of the fun.

I'm sorry I guess you've seen something I haven't. What exactly has Paul done that is insulting? Is it claiming the dyno record? Give the readers on this board a bit more credit.

Everyone on this board are not morons. Nobody puts more respect in a dyno number than a track number. Nobody thinks a gutted drag car is more impressive than a totally street car running a similar time. Everyone knows Dynojet read a lot higher than other dynos.

I do agree with David, but the double standard crap is outrageous. Its ok for him to post numerous dyno records, but when Paul starts posting up some solid numbers he feels it is necessary to write this crap about dyno numbers being useless.

crcain, your neutrality in the situation is very well recognized and respected by me, for one. I think, in that regard, you're to be commended for 'just the facts, ma'am'. I also follow most of the posts and 'issues' have come to light over the 'whole' of the posts, not one specific item. Sometimes, the 'respect' has been give with 'tongue in cheek' which makes it hollow respect. No one is expecting or demanding the respect, but neither is a tongue in cheek attitude. It boils down to 'just get the job done, us, you, Buschur, Al, ETS, AMS, Paul, everyone...and let the accomplishments speak for themselves without creating a drama beforehand. Having a goal is something everyone should have. Sharing that goal with others is normal. Beyond that, I think, becomes an irritant and I'm as guilty of doing that as anyone.

Your point is very well taken. I think it has to be taken based on 'putting those dyno numbers to use' not just living on the number in and of itself. Kind of like the old tv ad, 'talk, talk, talk, when do we eat'. I've said enough about this for sure, just trying my best to see and post view, since this is a forum.

I dont think that anyone is saying dyno numbers are useless overall. I think the major point being overlooked is that dynojet numbers , or any dyno with overly corrected numbers, is useless for claiming records. If using a dyno programmed to put similar numbers down to the wheels as an engine dyno would show then we all might as well use Al's control X button and call it a day.

Nobody... or at least not everybody... is perfect here in evo land.

Everybody can be relied upon to make a mistake or behave badly or say something they shouldn't. But I think we should all try to take things a little less personally.

I may not agree with Dave and Al and other comments which ultimately *i think* are negatives directed at Paul. But c'iest la vie.... who cares? Everyone will pick sides in this mini-war here and I think we all might be best served to just let the opponents in this grudge match do their thing.

No excuses here

That day my car was falling apart and my plan was to spray it with some juice on the final round

I should have had enough power to pass Big Valley's car but sadly the rod bearing was on its way out and the car was basically a walking wounded

Big valley won fair and square

I do agree with everything Dave has said in this thread and I am not a "Buschurracing sack swinger" myself. I have actually met Paul, Lucas etc and have never met Dave but if I held the position in the DSM/EVO world that Dave does (ther pioneer) and took the jabs that Paul has handed out to DaveB, you damn right I would jab RIGHT BACK and much harder. Come on guys...I personally think some people need to read and re read the first post in this thread and learn from it!
Pioneers are great, but evolution is a necessity

I think dyno queens are just as important as track monsters. it allows people to sucessfully find power, and with trial and error make the power usable at the track.

Soo just remember, if you don't strive to make more and more power, there is going to be a stand still in the end.

I am for EVERYONE making big power, because it will ONLY HELP people like myself and ANYONE else that wants to have a faster evo

Lets just settle this in august already.

everyone bring the 1000 hp evos out and give us something to gawk about already.

Just remember if you are going to claim a dyno queen record a bona fide Dyno Sheet to make any claim

My only issue with ifarted2 is that he has still not posted a dyno sheet of his claimed record. Without seeing a dyno sheet we don't know if the claimed record is just a spike from a pick up reading erratic or a miss fire or if the car is running really smooth and making the solid power.

For the record, I think dyno queens and dyno records are great

This may be one point which David and I disagree about but I just happen to like trying to set records on the dyno - it makes me happy

Al
