The truth is....... The EVO9 is limited by octane not cams.

There are hundreds of theads on this forum that have dyno charts that not even two people can agree on. Dynos are fluff and mean nothing. I can take my lapping day tune and add 2* of timing across the board and see 20whp jump. I can take my car to the same dyno on a cold day and see a 20whp jump. I can change nothing other than putting my car on a dynojet and see a 35whp jump. Simply dynoing in 4th gear compared to 3rd gear will show a big gap in power.

SHOW ME ALL THE MF'ing 120MPH TRAPS!!!!!
I would have to agree with Jeff here. I don't think that since a IX has cams it will be trapping 120+. There are a few who have done it, but key word being few (on the fastest stock turbo list). Even though I do agree with Jeff here, I'm still getting me some cams !

Well the ix's have that pesky gearing, could be inhibiting the high traps. just throwing that out there as not a lot of people invest in the 8's gears.

+14/15 Nice. You got better results than most folks.

Which should be expected from one of the better tuners on the planet.

Now get some better fuel and throw 6 more LBS of boost at it.

well heres an update:

the Forge mbc was not holdin all to well resulting in mixed numbers.

I mean we would set it to 22 and do 1 pull, not touch it run agian after a brief 15min cool down and it would be at 20... WTF and this was all day

so I guess you can say I made 330.88 hp/ 321.27 tq... considering my last tune I made 316/305. The torque is AMAZING!

I'll post up the overlay of the previous graph to have an comparision. In the top-end you can see about a 30 or so hp increase and of course the whopping torque increase right off the bat.

all in all there is an increase THROUGHOUT the entire powerband and you can feel it....

props to Cosworth for puttin out a worthy cam and of course to Alfred at Tuning Technologies puttin it all together with the sake of wonderful 91 Cali octane

...I said before that I would slap the cams in and dyno em to see just what the cams would do, sorry. well I had a little mis-communication and had the injectors installed at the same time and Alfred thought it wouldnt be a good thing to run it that way... my bad

but I hope this all helped in your quest for the right cam for whom ever....

holla
