Wanted to compare just one more thing just for reference.

This is a 9 stock turbo on meth. Look at where full spool is on the dyno. Mivec is tuned very well on this set up.

TS is awesome!!!! We are talking as good spool as stock if not better.

Thanks for looking everyone,

Mitch M

going to be cool to see how albertos twinscroll 30R compares to these two.

Geoff - the project is for IEE572 - that design of experiments class. My thesis is on something else but I've been dragging *** getting it going.

Dude, don't drag *** on your thesis! I spent a good 9 months just WRITING mine, after my experimental work. The experimental part took about 9 months itself from sourcing all the equipment I needed to getting data.

LOL I know... mine's theoretical so I have been reading but I've been dragging about getting the computer modelling setup. It was something through my last job and with this new job, I have very little motivation.

Off to the dyno

Had a couple issues... my bpv fluttering is causing it to leak pretty bad. It's making the same power at 30 psi as it is at 26. I think the .78 might be a bit too restrictive as we're having to add tons of wgdc up high in order to try and keep the boost flat. I'm going to make a couple changes to the car (new BPV - come on tial and release that recirc, might try a 1.06 3076 hotside, maybe a larger IC core) and head back there. For spool comparison though, I have boost onset about 150 rpm slower than a stock turbo Evo 9 on M3 cams (esevo's car ).

Also my car absolutely hates leaded gas. Going back to unleaded 101 has fixed all of my driveability issues.

The .78 A/R TS T3 turbine housing is great for any street 3076R that will run no more than ~25 psi. Nevertheless, it will feel like an EVO 9 turbo, but make a good bit more power. If you want to do more than that, you'll need to go larger.

Ted, are you referring to on/off boost transient response?
