assuming your going with a 3.5" core (I am looking for a ~500awhp build) is there an advantage to using the 3" piping from ETS versus the 2.5"?

Maybe the ets 3.5 is the reason.

I stand by this cooler 100%. Worth every penny.

Also keep this in mind because we are all on a budget,,, when you get bored of this car and want to sell, you will ALWAYS be able to sell this cooler online and get a decent amount for it as well.

That just makes buying a good cooler really worth the investment. ( That's how I convinced my wife into letting me buy it too!!)
thanks for the response.
I am thinking maybe 3" will just do the same job as 3.5" on a stock turbo, any member with 3" core please share.

Debating this too. I am looking for max 400whp with a 71 hta rc1200 etc

I always hate overkill, and I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO TRIM ANYTHING which I think you have to for the 3.5 inch per ets' website

My preference would be a standard tank 3" on a IX if nothing has to be trimmed...Anyone with this config?

thread revival better than starting a new one haha

I run the wide tank 3.5" and it fit great. No trimming and it fills the bumper perfectly.

Ya i'm pretty sure the Wide Tank because it is angled more downward towards the inlet/outlet pipes, would avoid and trimming BUT I'm not a big fan of the flat spots that can be seen from the inlet bumper holes.

From the pics I've seen the Standard tank which has more core looks a little more OEM (cast endtanks would be best) and you can't see the welds from core to endtanks since they are behind the bumper unlike on the wide tank.

Being in Cali the less aftermarket it looks the better but I don't want to trim anything so I was hoping a 3 inch Standard Tank would fit on a IX without any trimming of tabs and brackets

I run the ETS wide tank 3" on my car. FP Red on e85 and makes over 500. Not a single issue with fitment and zero trimming.
