Last we heard it blew a headgasket... how is it doing now?

Did everything look ok when you pulled it apart?

When I pulled it apart I discovered a problem with a sleeve repair that was previously done in the block so it was time for some repair.

I should be back out again in the next couple of weeks. I am so far behind on customer cars now its hard to justify taking time to work on my own car while we have customer's line up waiting for tuning and repair.

What's a sleeve repair, Al? Does it require a new block? That would be a drag (no pun intended)...

Its no big deal - I actually enjoy it when it breaks as I enjoy fixing it more than driving it

This is new to me also. I would love to know how you can sleeve a cast iron block. I know you can fill a block with concrete. the only other block ive heard of sleeving is a aluminum block.

you sleeve an iron block the same way as you would an Aluminium block... I just wondered WHY you would have too.... the 4g63 has a pretty thick cylinder as it is..
