Check out youtube, FPGreen murders 3076s and 3065s, and most GT35s from 20-100mph every time. This thing is crazy!
Besides... who really wants to race from 20 to 200mph anyway lol
I must have misread somewhere but i thought the hta30r was 51lb/min?!? thats why i overlooked it in the first place because i thought it was just +4lb/min more than the green. i guess and hope that i was wrong with 51lb/min for the hta30r.

I'd rather go from 0-130 at the track. Here, in Atlanta, nobody runs against high hp evos from a dig anymore. hell nobody even wants to run against a full bolt-on evo from a dig. Here the "popular" races are 40-120 and 40-140. the "popular" races for the high hp RWD cars are 60-120 and 60-140 because of their traction issues. I dont know if the green will have enough juice for the 140 runs....

CHANGING SUBJECT

Cmon FP tell us something...

Gentleman,

Some of you have asked for an update on the status of EvoGreen production.

We have made a decision not to use the new 68HTA compressor wheel as a replacement for the existing compressor wheel in the EVOGreen turbo. Our testing showed that the 68mm HTA wheel we tested was too much smaller than the 69mm EVOGreen wheel to meet our initial goals of creating a faster spooling AND higher horsepower output combination using this size HTA wheel. The 7% reduction in inlet area between the current 69-5 EvoGreen compressor wheel and the prototype 68HTA compressor wheel was too much of a reduction; even with the better flow/inlet area characteristics of the HTA aero, the 69-5 could exceed the airflow of the 68mm HTA in our testing. The improvement to compressor efficiency of the HTA wheel did not overshadow the difference in flow rate. Additionally, we were quite pleased to confirm the flow rate of the EVOGreen turbo to be in excess of 49lb/min, and at a conservative shaft speed of 155,000 rpm. Therefore no change to the build specs of the EVOGreen turbocharger will occur for now, and EvoGreens will continue to be built in their present configuration.

The smaller 68mm HTA wheel did demonstrate very desirable performance characteristics, particularly when coupled to the smaller TD05H turbine wheel. This combo produced virtually the same spool up curves as the stock EVO9 turbo (1580) and improved stock turbo airflow from a 45lb/min limit at choke flow to 48lb/min limit at choke flow with significant increase in compressor efficiency and reduction in outlet temperatures. This combination does not fit the requirements of the EVOGreen Model turbocharger, but it may have an application for other alternatives in the future.

I will make an effort to edit my internal report on this testing so as to "declassify" the document for general consumption. When I do I will host it as a PDF file on the FP site and link to it in this thread.

BOOST ON!

Thanks for releasing that information Robert. You don't hear me complaining about the Original Green staying in production.

+1 now we know there won't be an HTAGREEN, thanks for the clarification. Will there be any other new "bigger" bolt on turbos that will be developed?

So now that the HTAgreen won't come out.....Are you going to lower the price of the current EVOGreen?

I've seen some posts about an EVOred turbo. What's the deal with this turbo? Is it a myth or actually in production??? I am looking forward to news about the developments at FP. Does anyone know it this HTA EVOGreen is just an intermediate step between the EVOGreen and EVOred? I know I probably sound like an idiot but i'm just trying to get an education...

Ugh...

People, when and if the "red" will be ready they will let us know. Stop asking and "+1 bumping". It didn't speed things up with the HTA green results and its not going to help build a good thread with informative posts.
