Official HTA EVOGREEN thread by FP
True BUT I doubt theres much difference in cost between producing a reg green and the HTA green that they assured us would be cheaper..... Sooo, why not pass that on to the current green? For people such as myself that are on the fence about the green, a price break would be just the thing I need to justify the purchase.

Stock 9 41lb 380hp
FP Green 47lb 450hp
HTA 3076 57lb 500hp
GT35r 65lb 600hp
GT37r 75lb 700hp
Check out youtube, FPGreen murders 3076s and 3065s, and most GT35s from 20-100mph every time. This thing is crazy!
Besides... who really wants to race from 20 to 200mph anyway lol

And an off-the-shelf GT-35 may be $1300, but you need to buy a wastegate, exhaust manifold, oil lines, water lines, custom o2 housing or downpipe, and a new air intake. That's why those kits cost $3,000+.
If you want to save some money, buy a used IX turbo for $500 and send it in for an upgrade. Install it, then sell your IX turbo to the next guy for $500. Then it only costs $1000.

20gLT owner here looking forward to FPs next venture.
I tip my cap to Buschur for testing the turbo and questionsing the performance prior to selling the turbo - I can't blame them for marketing it beforehand.
Good luck FP-

Well, here's the thing: The GT35 compressor wheel is a casting produced in large quantities by Garrett - In other words they don't cost much. The HTA35 compressor wheel is cut from a billet and is made in small quantities - In other words it is a high cost item.
With the green it is a different situation, because even the "regular" green compressor wheel is cut from a billet and is made in small quantities. Not a cheap wheel.
The "regular" green also has a custom billet turbine wheel - even the HTA35 doesn't have that. The "regular" green has a twin scroll hot side which was designed from the ground up to be twin scroll, not an afterthought. When you think about it the "regular" green is one hell of a turbo. If they don't want to lower the price I wouldn't feel too bad about it. Just for laughs sometime, check out the prices on Greddy or HKS turbos.

It is totally a double-edged sword.
On one hand, if they don't tell anyone about it, then everyone who bought a standard Green in April or May would have been pissed if the HTA kicked the regular Green's azz.
But since it didn't, everyone else is pissed because they got their hopes up for nothing.
I say bravo to FP for warning us just in case, I think it is the better of the two paths because I for one too a "wait and see" approach. Now I will order my standard Green sometime in the next month or so.
Thanks to FP for all the hard work. The goal was to make a better product after all.

Hopefully we'll spank some stroked out gt35r cars at the track this year & show you guys just how capable the EVOgreen really is.

I guess that depends on whether you want to go faster or not? But it sounds like you need some more mods if you're only making 400 on a dynojet with meth. There are people doing that on pump with a stock turbo.
