I run 100 unleaded in my own car (only $5.99/gal ) that is about like your 99 I suppose. I run 27psi daily, and it rocks.

robert,

What about the ball bearing version that is available in the UK. How much boost do you think they can handle with your experience on ball bearing turbos?

Thanks Robert.

Would running more than 27psi be worthwhile occasionally or are we outside the efficient range?

Ps I'm running 14psi daily (switchable maps).

the efficiency of the EVOGreen remains satisfactory so long as it remains under 160krpm. This will give a variety of boost pressure curves on the motor depending on ambient temp etc. Normally the 69-5 compressor will remain under 160krpm and reain it's good eff as high as 30psi in the midrange (5-6krpm) but only as high as 25psi above 6500rpm you need to be careful that you don't drive it beyond 160krpm to avoid driving it beyond its suitable range.

I dont think I answered you very clearly.

Yes, running 27psi is very worthwile on the EVOGreen and it does not result in driving the turbo beyond it's suitable range, assuming average 4G63 setup of course.

Robert, what is the 100 octane unleaded that you get for only $5.99/gallon? I thought all those fuels were $10/gallon or more. How do you buy it?
Hell, the way things are going regular pump gas is going to cost $6 pretty soon.

Haha, I could use a little lag too. My car is too responsive with the stock IX turbo and ported exhaust everythings.

Will the larger variants utilize the stock turbo housing?

Pretty much all 100 oct unleaded is under $10.

I run 100 daily and currently I pay $6.25/ gallon for it. Only about $1.50/gallon more than 91 is currently.

29 psi peak daily on my FPgreen and loving every minute.

Go to the Sunoco website and look for GT Plus stations. You can search by state.
