newbie cam question

newbie cam question

i have a gt35r but its dynoing at around 350? at 22 lbs anyhow i have the stock cams but want to upgrade so i can get into the 450 range what do you think would be the best cam for me? also what do i need to change the cams is there anything else that must be done to support this? thank you!

272s I think would be sufficient. I dont think you can gain 100 whp with just cams though. If you're looking for something thats not really suitable for daily driving, 280s would be better. GSC is a good choice for cams.

well the car already has a gt35r with turbo back exuast/770 inj and well other supporting mods ie intake and so on im pretty sure i can get atleast 400-450 on that gt35r but with the stock cams its not looking good also tho motor has an 8.8 to 1 compression

You should be able to achieve atleast close to your goal WITH the stock cams by turning up the boost (and tuning).

if the car has the supporting mods a set of S2 cams will more than likly get you right in the 430-480 range. ive seen it many time.

ok well i ended up getting hks cams and gears i have the gt35r at 22lbs and 770inj it dyno'd in at 376 does this sound about right? should i turn boost up how much do you think i could handle thanks for the help!!!

also did a tune on 107oct at 430hp to me these numbers just seem low???

what other mods do you have? b/c that would me some key info to know before suggesting a cam upgrade... b/c if you have an upgraded fuel system, cams will do little for HP gains if you're engine isn't getting the required fuel needed...

be careful of turbo spiking when increasing boost... you can do some internal damage... (learned the hard way)

well i also have 770 inj fuel, rail, fpr, turbo xs fmic, new fmic piping, turbo xs rfl bov, custom turbo back exuast, hks cams and gears and im at 22lbs oh yeah and the had the ecuflashed but it still dyno'd 376 wtf!!!?
