I was thinking of an hta35r, what do you think of this with a 10:1 motor like yours Lucas?

I was gonna offer that HRS and put the ported stocker on I think to see if I can get some spool back...Spool that Lucas' honestly doesnt need. The car is an aboslute beast on the street.

ted do you have a program or something that gives you this information? or did you just glance at the chart and have your brain do some math and come up with those like i did?

cause there technically is a right shift point if you have the gear ratio's and a detail hp / tq chart for each RPM so you could probably do it right. just curious the way you came up with those numbers.

I doubt this is the one Ted uses, but there are several programs out there such as this one:

http://www.bgsoflex.com/shifter.html

I have one that also calculated other important information such as overall speed per gear, speed per 1000rpm, tire size, etc.

I think on E85 or race gas the 10:1 and a HTA35r would be great. My car may get a HTA35r by the End of the year. With my high comp experience so far on a EVO the only bad I see about its trying to run pump gas and the high comp. The higher comp motor is new thing for me so I may have a different opinion in a few years about it.

Thanks for your response Lucas. I won't be doing my engine build until I run the HTA35R for awhile. When I do though I would like to entertain this idea and hopefully have my daily driver by then....

thanks for the reply. i am definitely keeping an eye on this thread. so far i made 405whp and 430tq on the stock motor/turbo on the E75 winter mix we had here, but that was before the new intercooler and before the ported ex. manifold, in. manifold and t/b and the new tune i been working with along with JustDSM.

nice work, congrats!

What it like to tune the higher compression motor? less timing every where or can you keep the timing the same as the old motor?

Great numbers on a 9 turbo. I can only imagine what you can do with the fpgreen. What diff are you using for your 04?

Well on the E98 my timing # are still quite crazy high with no knock. I have another cust here with 10:1 on E85 and the timing # are not much different. I also did a gas tune on that cust car on 92oct at 20psi and he is a good 3deg lower then most evos at the same boost.

I have a '05 diff in the car.
