Great stuff Aaron, thanks for sharing your results! I've been using yours and Lucas' advice from this testing regarding cams for my recommendations for quite some time now

fyi the mivec is hard at work and is the reason you guys arent loosing bottom end, i don't see an evo 8 responding the same as these 9s have.

Here is a graph of an S3 vs S2 on a 35R evo 8, you can see the spool time difference... ie the give and take of a big cam on a small turbo.

I dont know Greg but the gm 3port did its job on this VIII (jhanksevo)LOL

The base line in this DLL was using HKS 272's, stock VIII turbo 28psi tapering to 26-25psi, 100% meth, gm3port & supporting mods. (New power) was upgradeded with your s2's, IX turbo 28psi (holding the whole pull), 2-3* less timing, and ETS LICP. All pulls done on the same road during night hrs. Even my butt dyno says this shizzle comes on HARDER LOL. These cams are the HEAT, I need to get me set ASAP but I'm leaving for gunner school.

Anybody run the fp4r's on a stock turbo 9 yet? I keep changing my mind on which cams to get.

I have S2s my 03, stock turbo, 9.8cm hotside and i love how these cams run. With the minimal mods as seen in my sig and florida weather (80deg and 90% humidity) i ran a 109 and 110mph trap. The car idles nicely and noticed only a minimal drop in spool.

Apache: Did you go from stock cams to the S2's?

John, would you reccommend M3's on a IX with a stock turbo? I am doing springs so I was thinking about just going with the M3's. I will be running E85. My goal is to max out a FP Green on E85

^I know Im not JB but I think those cams would be nasty w/ what you want to do and would be a great setup, especially on E85

Have a log to back up that claim? holding 28 psi on a stock turbo is very unlikely, even on a FPgreen it is very unlikely.

I'll get you a log soon, I dont have it on my laptop anymore this happen back in april. me & jhanksevo are in the military work two different shifts. I dont see how its unlikely with a high lift profile cam but I do remember the wga duty @ 6500 and on was 100%.

I have S2 with a Green. Made 350whp at 19psi tapering to 17psi. So basically stock boost with big cams. They don't make you lose power.
