This single thread alone, by the way, has prompted me to turn off sigs. LOL.
Anyway, my car sees 2-3 track days (buttonwillow, usually), a couple auto-xs, and an occasional weekend fun drive. My mods are in my sig. I plan to never port the head. Plan to keep stock rev limit so as not to require springs/retainers.

On my work bench are a set of Tomei PonCams and Cosworth M2s.

Advice? Are the M2s more than I need?

Stick with the PonCams.

Sell your cams and buy S2s. I know you would be really happy with them!

ah. can't. the Cosworth seem to be damaged. i'm gonna take them to a machine shop to see if they can be fixed. if not, the seller says he will take them back.

Send cams into Cosworth for evaluation. Depending on their assesment, then return to seller.

actually, i took the Cosworths to the local machine shop/head-building guru. dropped the cams in and have been very happy with them.

bumping this, I have a set of cosi m2's waiting for install, but after reading this thread it looks like the gsc s2s are more promising, especially for future upgrades! Anyone wanna buy a new set of cosworth m2s?

So I'm leaning with the GSC S1's for my VIII and i just want to make sure, if I get the S1's it would not be necessary to upgrade the stock valvesprings or retainers, correct?

sorry for bumping an old thread, but i'm looking for some good advice.

my car currently has the basic bolt ons, and it made 315whp on cbrd's mustang dyno. i am looking at getting a cbrd fmic, gsc s2's, gsc valve springs and arp head studs. how much power approximately would i gain after a retune?
