Solid or 6 puck clutch?
Solid or 6 puck clutch?
I need some feedback.... I'm planning on taking my car between 450-500 whp hopefully by the end of the year.... i've been out to the track a few times and want to keep at it. my car isnt a daily driver but more of a weekend driver and hopefully be seeing alot of the track. plus i drive like a jackass even when im on the streets so i was thinkin the 6 puck. my only concern is if i dont see as much track time as i want will i see alot of problems due to heat?
should i just go with lower hp/tq and use the solid streetable disc?
thanks guys

Cusco Twin disk all the way!!! Light pedal feel, cheaper than the exedy twin, rated as same hp/tq as exedy twin, and has a self leveling mechanism to keep the discs wearing evenly.
Same here. I have the sprung 6 puck disk and DD it. If you want to buy something nicer I would get the Exedy twin, but for the price you cant beat the ACT HD w/ sprung 6 puck.

nice thats what i was lookin for a few people using them.... i was leaning towards the sprung 6 puck but the dude from act kinda scarred me sounds like the right choice..... any word on the fidanza's? they are similar in price and says they're flywheel has something like a bolt on surface so if you wear it out you dont have to buy a whole new flywheel.....
ACT is 30 mins away so thats nice but just curious about that fidanza stuff

everyone i talk to have problems with it. The fidanza flywheel is great and works with most clutch's. I went with the act streetlight flywheel. You can always resurface it for $100 same as a stock flywheel. It is much cheeper than the fidanza. Only benefit to the fidanza is the $50 replacement piece that you are talking about. In the end it will always come out to being more.
