FPgreen and 05' differenes
Hello all,
I have a quick question. Are their any visual
differences between the FPgreen and 05' turbos.
Or is their anything that you could do to tell the difference
without driving the car. And yes the bolts have been wrench
marks on them, it has the stock manifold w/o heatsheild and
aftermarket o2 housing. I tried searching but was getting flow
rates and other info that was not relevant to my question.
any info is greatly appreciated,
THANKS,

As these guys have said, the Evo 9 turbo has the larger compressor housing. Also, if you look at the flat spot on the compressor cover where the part numbers are, the last 4 digits of a stock Evo 9 turbo (as well as the FP Green Model) is going to be 1580. You can see the part number in the following picture:

To really tell the difference between an FP Green and a stock Evo 9 turbo, you would need to pull the intake pipe off and take a look at the compressor wheel itself.
As far as the Evo 8 turbo, it is going to have a smaller compressor cover on it and I wish I could give you the part number for that turbo, however I do not know it off the top of my head. Maybe tomorrow I'll update my post when I find the part number.

One more thing, would it even be worth it to get the EVO 9 turbo if you
allready have the 05' 8 turbo, cause I know someone who might be
selling the EVO 9. Or just get the Fp green and beyond.
THANKS AGAIN !!

evo 9 turbos are about half the cost of an green. so really it depends on your overall goals. if you look at my mods and numbers in my sig, that is all done on a evo 8 turbo with the 10.5 hotside.
