thanks for all the kind words everyone. We hit the track yesterday and I couldn't get it into gear. I figured it was air in the clutch line and possibly the shifter cables/bracket. The only run I got yesterday was a 12.00 at 131, missing every gear, going into 5th and put it back in 3rd and rode it out through the traps. We made some adjustments and went to the track today for eliminations. On my first and only pass the car pulled strong and lit up the slicks, went for 2nd and the shifter cable popped off the bracket. So disappointing day as a $30 bracket made us hit the trailer and go home early. Going to make some changes and probably hit the track in a few weeks.

yeah, I'm very impressed on how quick the car spools up and keeps pulling. When I went for third gear it went to fifth. I rarely miss a shift and knew something wasn't right with the cables and or bracket. Just unfortunate we were in an event and not test and tune where we could get things fixed. Here's the vid, as you can see took some time to find the gears, the blue drag truck on the right passed me when I missed 3rd and when I finally got it in, shot passed him for the win.

Once the car gets sorted out the car is going to rip down the track, both me and Dan were pretty upset about the shifter linkage cause we both know the motor is running strong and the car will just fly. There are a few stupid things to be fixed that was unforseen until we got to the track to run it. All and all we are pretty happy with how the car is running.
We made that 839whp on a heartbreaking mustang dyno the other night at only 40lbs, 11.2 A/F's and very little timing. We suspect 950 or just maybe close to 1000whp on a dynojet with it at only 40lbs. Couple of the runs on the dyno it ripped all 4 M/T slicks loose on the rollers, pretty nuts. The car hits strong and the power band is very wide. Looking at the dyno sheet in front of me he has a power band from 5800rpm to 10,000rpm
It's hard to tell in the video on the track, but when dan stuck it into 3rd gear further down the track the car was slightly drifting around at around 1000ft. Pretty nuts. It's just amazing he was able to pull 131mph on a stock evo8 3rd gear
He never got to touch 4th gear..
Good times it was down here Dan, will have to fly back down soon and get that thing back out on the track once you get all the little things fixed with it. Should rip an 8sec pass without a problem, and with Dan driving to boot, man this thing is going to rip.

yeah, I didn't think it would go that fast in 3rd! I just seen that blue truck pass me and stuffed it back in 3rd and ripped by him like he was standing still.Once the car gets sorted out the car is going to rip down the track, both me and Dan were pretty upset about the shifter linkage cause we both know the motor is running strong and the car will just fly.
