Question, the acd in "snow" mode, if my understanding is right it would lessen the "hit" when the acd locks... what are your thoughts on that?

I currently run mine in tarmac, and with my damn stock suspension and RT-615's (whoever here said they have good traction off the line, did you buy yours on a Wednesday? ) I know it's spinning the front off the line and not the back... almost ready to put on the coilovers, poly diff mount, and maybe a set of drag radials... be nice to know what the best is, lock it completely, ebrake it, or maybe the "snow" mode??

I don't think the ACD changes the lock up speed.... but rather the unlock speed.

The ACD is totally unlocked at the line. If you pull your Ebreak it will keep the ACD totally unlocked. Not sure what it is doing at cruse and other driving.

Hello, I have a lot of t-case parts here (except for ring and pinions) so if your case and front diff are hosed in your t-case, I can fix that if interested. It would be a lot less than buying a new one and I will also tighten things up in there and upgrade the case bolts.

Your tranny really doesn't look bad at all. I would be willing to bet that the internal parts are still in good shape and you just need the case, which I also have. New that case end is only $248.90. I would just rebuild and beef up the parts you have now as they don't look to be totalled to me. If you want to sell them, give me a call at 719-243-5305 as I would be interested in them for cores here

Thanks for the plug WickedE!

Subscribed.

Hmm, Does 3 clicks even engage the ebrake, or have a negative side effect to a run? What would be the best way to defeat the ACD just for launch purposes or maybe a switch to disable for going to the track? I really dont mind launching with the ebrake and integrating it's use into my launch as it also aid's preloading. Is this the method that would be best? Or would it be advisable to figure out how to disable ACD for a launch.

Lucas, the reason I ask is because we blew a Tcase just like this, on Ottomatic's MR with around ~350tq and a twin plate, destroyed the hollow shaft and center diff.

Donald was running open DP when the incident happened and I always wondered if DP collision may have played a part in the broken case or if it was just gear spreading.

Here is a picture of the EvoM member ottomatic 's down pipe. Notice no clearance. He's got a bolt loose too. edit* I've already told him it needs to be fixed immediatly.

Here is a smaller downpipe with clearance on my car.
