I am receiving a 9 turbo in the next couple of days, but it's coming without the stock wastegate actuator. I was wondering if I could use the one I have on my car now or does it have to be a 9 WGA? I have an 05 Evo 8 btw with the 10.5 hotside.

 

Has to be a IX. The VIII wont fit.

 

Thank you, should I go with an aftermarket one or go with a regular IX WGA? what would you recommend?

That's really up to you. If you plan to run alky and high boost, get an upgraded wastegate.

 

I definitely want to run higher boost later on when I get cams installed, but that won't be for another 3-4 months, would the Forge WGA be good? or are there better ones? something with a reasonable price.
