I currently have an ACT 6 puck with a HD pressure plate. I love the combo and wouldn't mind getting it again for the money. For daily driving it's not bad at all, yes there is some clutch chatter but that's expected with performance clutches. As stated above by another user, driving up hill in slow traffic BLOWS big time, you'll hate it. As for performance, I've put multiple launches on this clutch and it's held up great with no signs of giving up. I would recommend this clutch to those who don't mind a little bit of chatter and don't have a problem with clutches that are "grabby". Considering the OP has had experience with ACT clutches, I think this will be a great clutch.

I also want to add I wouldn't recommend the XT pressure plate. The clamp force is past the 3000lb mark which makes it much harsher on our transmissions. I believe it was Shep from Shepard Racing who said he didn't recommend any clutch with a clamp force of over 2900lb clamp force - don't quote me on this.

I have the HDG6 (sprung puck). the first few hundred miles were touchy...hard to get used to because right as it engages...it grabs hard. I love this clutch and got a great deal on it. I have 15,000+ miles on it and 30+ launches. .....not much, but I love it.

Stock flywheel btw.

I have no problems with my clutch. I am running the Hd sprung 6 puck. The XT from my understanding is horrible on high rpm shifts. That is the reason why I stayed away from it. I also think it is overkill. Stick with the hd pp and add the sprung 6 puck disc.

Cool, I have the HD PP now...I was thinking of just getting the flywheel resurfaced and hitting the PP with a light abrasive wheel like this>

and just throwing in the 6 puck disk (125$) and testing my luck, insted of spending 500$ for the whole darn thing. ACT said the puck clutch diggs into the flywheel and PP more....what ya guys think?

I have never used those but it is hard to say on what you can use till it is actually off. I would say get a sander and run a 40 to 60 grit on it and see how that comes out

Sounds good, Im just going to use a few diffrent methods to get the surface clean. I guess I will be the EvoM gini pig and see how long this 6 puck clutch will last reusing the HD PP.

you will be fine. As long as you didn't run the pp to its death by slipping the clutch when it was going I am sure it is repairable. Just don't make it too smooth.

Right on, I parked it today and broke out my trusty Toyota. Made an appointment to get the clutch put in on the 26th. I figure if I took it easy on the clutch for a week it might help to remove glazing on the PP anf Flywheel. Its parked for now
