So if Dave was to stick a Mitsubishi truck rear end in there would that be still a problem?

You can go to super chevy with a ford mustang, as long as its powered by chevy!

You can run a 69 camaro in the quick 16 class at the shootout as long as its powered by Mitsubishi!

Sticking a ford rear end and drag suspension is not innovation. Something thats been done many times

AMS runs a 3000gt rear end in their car.. Thats DSM not EVO.. so again where do you draw the line.. Cars running 9.4 on t3 turbos is innovation IMO.. I still cant do what Curt brown or Dave Buschur has done with a t3 and neither could you or AMS or anyone..

So whats the next rule if no 8.8?? no Alcohol, methanol, e85 or what if they run that ever so sneaky Nitromethane.. how can we sanction that??

So then Brent should compete in the shootout and winn, if you guy's are saying that it OK to use Domestic parts and all Drag equitment and innovate or Fabricate your own chassi

A few seconds of drag racing doesn't interest me and never really did, so I am absolutely unbiased in this matter. If I were in this, I'd just assemble an aluminum tube frame around an EVO motor, bolt whatever drivetrain I wanted, and throw a plastic EVO-looking funny car top over it.

I've seen various claims as to the quickest and fastest, but for anyone to stake a claim as to the 'quickest' or 'fastest' EVO, there needs to be a consensus on just exactly what fits the definition of an 'EVO'. Rules and definitions make a racing a contest of skill. Without rules there can be no proper contest, and without a contest, there can be no 'winner'.

As for now, it's just a matter of who is going to throw the most money at it.

Probably one of the rules should say 'IRS' only.
What about double adjustable shocks? Is that something to cry about also?
This problem is so easy to solve!

Ill be honest with you i dont think anyone besides me on the list has their car setup to run any NHRA STREET CLASS.. I have every single piece of safety equiptment in the places they want it, capable of holding the amount of fluid they require and so on.. This list doesnt have a thing to do with sanctioned racing and if it did the race cars on the list would be lucky to make it past the 1st round with cars that run 7's and 8.0 consistent in HOT ROD..
