I've seen various claims as to the quickest and fastest, but for anyone to stake a claim as to the 'quickest' or 'fastest' EVO, there needs to be a consensus on just exactly what fits the definition of an 'EVO'. Rules and definitions make a racing a contest of skill. Without rules there can be no proper contest, and without a contest, there can be no 'winner'.

As for now, it's just a matter of who is going to throw the most money at it.
I agree with you Ted

With that said ted, Everyone constantly makes up their own records anyway.. I have read Worlds Fastest Privately Owned EVO 8, Worlds Highest HP 2.0l, Worlds Highest HP EVO.. Whats next Worlds Highest HP Black EVO, Worlds Fastest Evo 8 w/ Stock TB..

Ill say it again, I dont think its fair i must compete on a list against full out race cars when mine is a STREET CLASS CAR fitting every rule that NHRA made up.. However, i run what i brung and i do all i can to make my way up that list every week.. it is not possible to make rules for something where there is independent racing all over the country that nobody can sanction.. that my .02

What about IRS with a non OEM part?

Two classes are all that's needed for the list.
One class based on 'OEM' style drivetrain and everything else regarded as 'OUTLAW'.

If everyone wants to make up rules now, you have to allow solid axel rear ends. So all you guys can do it also. Should we pass out gas to all competing cars, so everyone runs the same gas? Should everyone run the same tires? Should the cars have to have factory intact body parts?
Everyone can ***** and complain, but everyone is doing **** that makes the cars non factory cars. Who cares, there mitsu powered and AWD! Hell lets make it so you cant run a aftermarket turbo!

Why does it have to be AWD?

I mean come on!!! If its ok to remove the entire rear end of the car and replace it with a 4 link and straight axel, what would be the issue with removing the front drive of the car and replacing it with "nothing"?

Exactly!
Whose going to enforce all these rules?
What about fuel checks and turbo sizing especially for the turbo size class records just to name a few.
Who's going to enforce all theses rules.
I'm sorry a list on an internet forum has nothing to do with real life racing.
It's all about bragging rights and everyone involved knows that.

Why does every thread have to turn into a pissing match? I have tried to learn as much info as I can. Alot of the guys that are posting in this tread are the very same ones I have followed and learned from. Now I lose that respect becuase they pollute these good threads with nonsence. There is one guy, that has not been on here to make excuses. He has pushed the envelope! This is really getting out of control.
