I'm not gettimg too excited but I remember last year I was checking the weather about 9-8 days before the event and the forecast was not optimum for Sunday raceday, hopefully it holds off. I'm anxious to see some good 4G63 action at Norwalk.

Anybody else coming from the New England area taking I-90 through Erie to get there?

The Red Roof should be a nice place. If you want to stay where all the crazy action is use one of the hotels listed on our site in Norwalk.

I need to warn you guys. First PLEASE do come to the shootout and have a great time, that's what it's all about.

However, it is not the place to act like retarded children. (not directing this at anyone) In the past we have had vandalism, burnout, scooters in hotel rooms doing burnouts on carpet, people pissing on vehicles, people riding down flights of steps in garbage cans just to get pretty severly cut on glass. You get the idea.

Last year the shootout went pretty good, I didn't have to meet with the Norwalk Police chief, so that was a good year.

Please come to the event but please, act like adults. Drink, get drunk I don't care. Don't drive, don't vandalize anything, throw up in the grass, it's all good. Just don't leave Norwalk wanting the DSM/EVO Shootout to NOT take place in the future.

Year before last there were over 30 tickets written for open containers and stupid stuff.

I don't want another year like that, ever.
