Which 20g are you talking about? I wasn't aware of any 20g from Deadbolt unless they are reselling from FP...

well, not sure how he's doing it but apparently he's building mine, he has posted on his website but you have to email, and talk to him, but he'll build you anything you want. The FP charger is cool but deadbolts is like 500 less with lifetime rebuild.

Then you probably aren't getting the FP Green, which is the _only_ 20G worth getting. Do you even know which 20g you've purchased? There are probably 10 or more variations. If it's the true TD06 20g, then you should be aware that it requires a DSM manifold and has already been tried by TurboTrix without success.

20g

i believe it's a td05 with a 20 g housing, from what i've been told the td06 like you said has failed, so im pretty sure that his is a variation of what FP does. I dont know cause i havn't seen the turbo, but deadbolt makes an excelent upgraded turbo, the one on my friends sti was ****.

It doesn't matter what was on the STI, because that's a different turbo. You need to find out EXACTLY what you've purchased, because there were many variations of the "20g" before the current Green, and none of them compare. I fear that you are purchasing something outdated without realizing the vast differences between the many 20Gs. There is no "20g" housing other than the TD06-20G. The 20Gs we use on Evos are 16Gs modified to be 20Gs. It started out with modifying VIII turbos to be 20Gs, and those sucked. Then, the IXs came out, and those became the basis for 20Gs, however, there was a 6-blade version that really sucked and later a 5-blade that was better but not great. Now, there is the FP Green/20G-LT that is the standard and has the best performance of all. Anything you're getting for $1200 is likely to be sub-standard on your Evo.

20G IS A 20G I SAY GO FOR IT
this place is all biased towards the green
there are other turbos that may suit your need besides the green. ppl around here act like you dont have an option. i know evo owners that run 11's with evo 8 20gs.
check turbochargers.com they sell the 8 20g for 800$ half the price of a green
ppl need to realize not all of us need 500+ whp evos.

FP Green seems to be the obvious choice because it gets the most out of a 20g. It's what ppl would call "the best bang for the buck" in most cases

20g is certainly not a 20g there are many variations and all make different power. Make sure if you do get a 20g variant its based on the IX compressor housing or your just throwing away money as the IX turbo will perform just as well
