Turbo boost level problem.
Turbo boost level problem.
Hey fellow Evo owners!
Hope everyone is having a good week.
So here is my problem.
I bought a TD05-20G/supposed to be a Evo IX turbo from a Mike Turbo INC and paid to have them upgrade the compressor wheel. I had AWD install it and then dyno it. It wouldn't do more than 24PSI.
They pulled the wastegate control and left it open and I guess it wouldn't even spool to 20PSI.
I read a few things on some other forums and some guys said they had success getting their 20G's to 30PSI using a stronger spring.
I bought the Evo 9 WGA from FP with the 25psi spring in it.
Slapped it in and the most I got was 26.5PSI!
So any thoughts on this?
Oh if it helps .. I have an AEM tru boost EBC. I set the spring to 25.0 and set the duty to 90. The internal sensor is supposed to be good to 29PSI.
I just want to max this thing out and hit 29psi ..
Thanks!
