Final #s for today. More to come soon. 1117whp & 657tq
Some good ideas guys, thanks.
If I am not mistaken, Lucas has already replaced cam and/or crank sensor due to a previous problem Paul was having. Not to say this couldn't be a problem again though.
It isn't so much the logging locking up on this one (which I have also seen on some earlier versions of 1.19 especially with high tooth count timing patterns), but the ECU is actually going offline ever so briefly. This shows as just missing data in the internal log, and a flat line when doing a PC log. If you watch the coms status screen during the pull, you could actually see it blink offline for just a split second. This was when we were troubleshooting the miss that ended up being traced at least in part to the alternator (it was a very consistant miss at around 8000 rpm, irrespective of load). We did try a different AEM during this phase of the troubleshooting, and it made no difference.
This new cut (similar to the above but the symptoms are caused under different situations and it is not consistent) could very well be EMI still from other sources, grounding, cam/crank sensor glitchiness, etc.

I have not gotten to see the lastest version of the problem, but when we were looking at the 8K cutout it would do it on very light load rev through first gear though the exact cut rpm was not as consistant as it was under full throttle 3rd gear runs. It sounds like the current issue is a lot more finicky to reproduce, even at WOT.
With Lucas and John at the helm I'm certain that the gremlins will be worked out soon, but even given those issues I sure wouldn't be ashamed of the results to date
It was a blast to have you guys here for the last tuning session, exciting stuff
