UICP popped off...anything else wrong?

Could there be anything else wrong?

So i was driving down the highway and i boosted to about 20psi and heard a loud pop and after that my car wouldn't accelerate and could absolutely not boost. I pulled off the highway and check the car. It seems that the UICP popped off where it connects to the IC.

Is this most likely the only issue? My main worry is something else went wrong and caused the pipe to pop off...and not just normal pressure. Car is safely stored and will take a look tomorrow..just trying to get some peace of mind...

Happens all the time try putting hairspray on the inside of ic pipe and tighten the clamp with a racket not a screw driver.

Check and tighten all your IC clamps if it happens to the lower IC pipe you will need a tow, that one is not so easy to fix by the side of the road.

You're fine. Just either get Tbolt clamps or getting stronger vibration resistant clamps.

not sure hump hoses are common term, they are transition hoses (couplers?) with some give in the middle..

They wont really make a difference. Get Hair Spray, let it become tacky and then put the hose on! Then use a T-bolt cland and thighten that down and they wont come off again!

You don't even need hairspray. I used t-bolt clamps and don't have the issue. This is a common occurence.

Is the UICP stock? If not, check the bead at the end of the UICP before you go whole hog with t-bolt clamps and eleventy billion lb-ft of torque. The bead is the circumferential lip right near the end of the tube.

If the bead is not very pronounced, the hose will keep popping off no matter what you do. Just take the UICP to a shop with a bead roller and have a more aggressive bead rolled into it.

Dude this has happened to me a bunch. T-Bolt it. I've only had a T-bolt connection blow off once and it's my own fault for not torquing it down enough.

Yeah, T-bolt clamps is the way to go if you dont want to have to worry about blowing a hose off. They are deff worth the money.
