Tuned HTA37R @22psi pump gas

I got tuned. 346whp and 274 torque peak. Conservative tune on a DynoDynamics.
I could have made more but the car keeps picking up false knock. I was thinking the knock sensor might be loose or it's just the bottom end build. Changing the harmonics of the bottom end that the knock sensor is not tuned into might have it pick up false knock. That's my theory.

Anyway, this tune was on 22psi, probably not even penetrating the turbo's "power" range. It seems ok for me considering it's only on 22psi and pump gas.

Maybe it's time for an AEM EMS!
Has anyone else picked up inconsistent knock (false knock)? I was wondering what you guys did to fix it. I just need some ideas. Thanks for your time.
I can't wait for C16 on 30+psi!

If the car is knocking then there is definitely a problem. That is VERY low power.

This particular dyno is proven to read very low even lower than the nearest mustang dyno. I made 350 on that mustang dyno on a green turbo at 19psi and made 300 on this DynoDynamics.

The car is definitely picking up false knock. I even tried race fuel and it still knocked with the same tune at the same boost level. Like I said, maybe it's time for an AEM EMS.

WOW 50wheel diff

I can completely understand depending on settings.

Only way to tell is go out and see what it traps.

Once the knock is fixed throw that good fuel in and crank up the boost and let us know.

By the way do yo still have balance shafts?

Power is way down for that size turbo. I tuned a friends car on the older 37R Buschur setup and @ 21~22lbs of boost he made 475HP. I know its not on the same dyno, day, time, temperature etc. but still thats a 129HP difference.

Definitely find out what is causing your knocking issues and I am sure more potential will be found at your current boost level, and you'll be quite happy with the results.

Even if that dyno only puts stock Evo 8s at 180-190 your still not near where you should be with that setup. You defidently need an AEM ems. I just got mine, and it made a world of difference. Get the AEM and you will make some SICK power

Is it consistant knock? If the sensor was going bad it would throw a 0325 code (Knock Sensor Bank 1 Failure). This was my case last week with inconsistant knock and 0325 code showed prior to the tune.
There is a lot more left on the table with this turbo, will be nice to see what she can do after you work out your knock issues.

Hmmmmm...I don't know

I will definitely find out what's causing it to knock and pull timing. We even had a few people listen under the hood for two 3rd gear pulls and could not hear any knock and like I said earlier, race fuel didn't make a damn difference concerning knock.

Yep. When these cars knock, although it usually is pretty quiet, you can hear it...I think.
I can't give up my hopes on this turbo yet!
