I have this clutch well the PTT version and I couldnt Hi rpm shift it for the first 200 miles. Once it broke in its a dream and better then any 500 mile lasting Tilton Carbon/carbon. If I were to buy another clutch and I had alot of money it would be the Push style Exedy triple cerametallic. For the price the Quartermaster/PTT are barnone the best out.

Ps my PTT uses a tilton TOB so I already had a pedal stop.

Got any pics of that?

We have an Evo w/ an Exedy Twin and i would say that my car has a bit more low speed chatter if not given enough rpm's.

anybody know of what kinda stopper to use and where exactly to place it??? I just ordered this clutch and had no idea about having to install a stopper. Not that it'll be that hard or anything. I just am unsure of how big of a stopper I need and placement etc...

The clutch peddle pressure feels just like stock, it is extremely light, however the engagement is obviously much harsher like any twin disk will be. I put the clutch in about 3 weeks ago now, and I couldn't be happier.
before the qartermaster i had the exedy twinplate. the exedy chatter at the beginning but the noise went away after 2-3k. The Quatrer master on the other hand, barely any noises.

Agreed bud, you must love it for road racing, I can only imagine how awesome the quartermaster would be for that. I can tell just from daily driving.

I ask cuz that's what's in my car now

I have adjusted it and bled it and i too notice that it doesn't take much to dis-engage/ engage the clutch and my natural tendancy is to shove the damn thing to the floor

I've had the exedy triple plate with cerametallic discs and the chatter was MUCH worse with the exedy. Also I got a weird noice when pulling out in first gear. Sounded almost like chebacca off of Star Wars

I run this clutch in my car with no pedal stop. I was told my Devo that I did not need one. If you watch the hrb thur the inspection hole while somebody pushs the pedal you will see that it moves as soon as you start to push the pedal. My pedal gets real "hard" when the hrb is fully extended but my foot is not on the floor. I don't get anywhere near that part when driving or racing. This thing shifts so fast, you only have to tap the pedal in about 1/2" and bang the next gear.

Got my QM clutch yesterday. MAPerformance gave me a hell of a deal on it. They are an EvoM vendor. IM one of their guys. They'll help you out.

Just as a side note: The flywheel weighs ~7.5 lbs and the whole assembly weighs around ~17 lbs. Take those for what it's worth though since I used my bathroom scale.

I can't wait to get mine on next weekend.

Edit: Can more people verify that we don't need a pedal stop when we install the QM? Oh, and the clutch came with a poop load of shims. Did you guys use any of those?

i also will be picking this up soon. as im sure some saw my thread about me blowing up my trans i figured this. right now i have a exedy twin plate with close to or if not 35k miles on it. i would say about 35 drag passes and a lot of street abuse. now this clip this clutch has that everyone hates i have yet to break. so since im doing a new trans i was gonna get the AMS exedy twin push style conversion.. but at 1200 bucks i was thinking. hum. 1200 plus a rebuild on my exedy at around 500 = 1700. for a clutch i only paid 1290 for a few years ago. then QM came out with this clutch at around 1400 and they claim it to be better, stronger, last longer then the exedy twin. well its a no brainer to me. QM is the way im going. funny thing is my exedy twin right now is perfectly fine. i hopw the QM will treat me just as nice.
